KITCC is a Non-Governmental Organization serving for the treatment and survival of Thalassemia Major Patients in Karachi since 1996 under the supervision of Mr. Muhammad Iqbal.
Kashif Iqbal Thalassemia Mission and Vision Statement
Mission Statement:
KITCC’s mission is to provide free, comprehensive medical care and support to Thalassemia patients. We aim to improve their quality of life through ongoing medical services, education and advocacy. Fostering a supportive community and promoting public awareness.
Vision Statement:
KITCC envisions a Thalassemia-free Pakistan, achieved through prevention, treatment and education. We strive for a future, where no child is born with Thalassemia and those affected receive top-quality care.
The objective of Kashif Iqbal Thalassemia Care Centre (KITCC) is to provide comprehensive healthcare and support to Thalassemia Major patients, while working towards the prevention, awareness and eradication of the disease in Pakistan.
Key Objectives:
- 1) Free Treatment & Healthcare: Providing lifelong medical care, including blood transfusions, iron chelation therapy, medicines and tertiary healthcare services for registered Thalassemia patients.
- 2) Awareness & Prevention: Conducting awareness campaigns, educational programs and Thalassemia screening camps to promote pre-marital Thalassemia testing and prevent the spread of disease.
- 3) Policy & Legal Efforts: Playing an active role in passing Thalassemia prevention laws, such as Sindh Prevention and Control of Thalassemia Act,2013 and working towards a Thalassemia-free Pakistan.
- 4) Psycosocial Well-being & Support: Providing mental health support, counselling and self-development programs for Thalassemia patients through Psychosocial Wellbeing Center (PSWC).
Quality Policy:
The main objective of Kashif Iqbal Thalassemia Care Center is to eradicate Thalassemia from Pakistan by motivating people towards adaption of preventative measures and to facilitate Thalassemic families in the diagnosis and treatment of their ailing children on a No-profit No-loss basis without any consideration of creed, caste. religion or language. We specifically aim at

Care Centre ensures the following:
- • The management is committed to continually improving the quality management system including setting annual measurable objectives
and targets, providing sufficient resources to implement plans that address quality and patient safety risks.
- • Regularly report and review quality performance, objectives and targets improvement activities and compliance programs that are
compatible with the context and strategic direction of Kashif Iqbal Thalassemia Care Centre.
- • Provie relevant quality informational and training to all workers and others within the organization so that they understand their responsibility
for patients and donor safety.
- • Ensure the Quality Policy is effectively implemented and publicly available for all interested parties.
- • It’s the responsibility of the top management to communicate and implement this policy throughout the organization’s levels.
